Transparency
The structures and procedures for decision-making within the EPA fulfil a requirement for transparency. The activities of EPA are disclosed on the website, its publications are made available as open source material.
EPA does not represent the interest of any particular company or sector, but was founded to advance the interest of privacy, data protection and security in Europe.
Engagement
The EPA platform is open for dialogue among all stakeholders, including decision-makers, researchers, national human rights’ institutions, privacy commissions, NGOs, industry and the media. In order to ensure the highest quality, adequacy and viability of products and services, EPA seeks to ensure the engagement of all relevant stakeholders in all of its activities and aims to apply the contributions in an innovative and constructive way.
Sustainability
EPA contributes to the maintenance and improvement of effective privacy protection within European society by providing proposals and solutions that are affordable, durable and reflect the needs of a globalised society. EPA’s contribution thus reflects a multi-disciplinary approach to privacy protection that is all encompassing of all impacts whether that is social, psychological, political, ethical, legal, economic or other.
